About the role

Good research depends on knowing where information comes from and how it can be used. We are looking for a Head of Compliance to build that discipline into our investment research and financial AI work from the start.

You will work closely with the team on the questions that shape daily research: which datasets we can use, how expert-network conversations are conducted, and how information moves into research and product development. This is a hands-on role for someone who can turn sound judgment into clear, workable processes.

What you’ll do

• Establish and operate a compliance program suited to our investment research, data use, and AI development activities.
• Lead diligence on new datasets and research providers, working with counsel and the team to understand permissions, restrictions, and appropriate use.
• Define practical review, approval, and recordkeeping processes for expert-network calls and other external research interactions.
• Help the team identify and escalate potential material nonpublic information, conflicts, and information-use concerns.
• Partner with research, product, and leadership to embed controls into everyday workflows and keep the team informed as activities evolve.

What you’ll bring

• Experience leading or owning significant parts of a compliance program in investment management, financial services, or investment research.
• Practical experience with research data diligence, expert networks, and the handling of sensitive investment information.
• Strong judgment: you can identify the important risk, explain it clearly, and help a team find a workable path forward.
• A record of building processes people can use, with clear documentation, training, and escalation routes.
• Interest in the intersection of financial research, data, and AI, and the willingness to work closely with technical teams.
